Аналоги в тае-кадайских языках Since 'ธรรมชาติ' (tam-ma-chaat) is a loanword from Sanskrit, it does not have a cognate in the Kra-Dai family based on native roots. Instead, it is a shared cultural loan across Southeast Asia. In Khmer, the equivalent is 'ធម្មជាតិ' (thommacheat), which is also derived from the same Sanskrit roots. In other Kra-Dai languages, native terms for 'nature' usually refer to 'forest' or 'the wild' rather than the abstract philosophical concept of 'nature' provided by the Sanskrit loan.
